About this opportunity
The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking bids for dietitian services at the Illinois Veterans Home Manteno facility, with proposals due October 7, 2026 and questions due September 28, 2026. No subcontracting is allowed.
The scope requires a registered dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition services including dietary assessments, resident care plan development and revision, menu review using liberalized diet concepts, kitchen inspections, quarterly in-service education to facility staff, and regulatory survey assistance. The dietitian must be available a minimum of twenty-two hours per month, not exceeding eight hours per week, during Monday through Friday business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at One Veterans Drive, Manteno, Illinois 60950. The dietitian must hold current Illinois licensure, maintain HIPAA privacy compliance, and carry general commercial liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million annual aggregate, plus workers' compensation insurance as required by law, with the State named as additional insured.
The contract term runs from execution through June 30, 2027, with a maximum total term not to exceed ten years including any renewal options. Pricing is estimated and will be entered by the State prior to execution; the total maximum amount will be determined and included in the BidBuy Purchase Order. This procurement was conducted as a small purchase with no set-asides for small business, minority-owned business, women-owned business, persons with disabilities-owned business, or veteran-owned small business. The contract is funded through the State's General Revenue fund (Obligation #001-49725-1900-0000). The State retains the right to terminate for convenience with thirty days' notice or immediately for cause, and may suspend or terminate without penalty if appropriations fail or are reduced.
