About this opportunity
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, has issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2026-1000-0020 for the procurement of snowmachines and ATVs for trail grooming and maintenance activities in the Kenai Peninsula and Prince William Sound regions. The solicitation seeks four specific vehicles: two 2025/2026 Honda Pioneer 520 ATVs with extensive accessories including draw bar, hardtop, front bumper, cargo box, winch kit, and under seat storage; two 2025/2026 Honda Rubicon 520 ATVs with winch, recoil starter, and rack extensions; four 2025/2026 Ski-doo Skandic 900 ACE LE Snowmachines; and four 2025/2026 Ski-doo Expedition LE Snowmachines, both with heavy duty rear bumpers. Bidder qualifications include having sold and serviced Ski-doo snowmachines and/or Honda ATVs in Anchorage or Kenai Peninsula areas, and not having had a state contract terminated for cause within the last three years. The bid is due on July 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM Alaska Time, with all questions and communications directed to Procurement Specialist Tamra M. Czerny via email. Bids will be evaluated based on meeting minimum requirements and pricing within the estimated budget.
The procurement includes several preference considerations, such as Alaska Bidder Preference, Alaska Veteran Preference, and Alaska Military Skills Program Preference. Bidders must hold a valid Alaska business license and comply with various federal and state regulations, including Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The estimated budget for the project is $110,000, with bids priced above this amount considered non-responsive. The contract will be a firm, fixed-price agreement, with the State reserving the right to award in whole or in part for each lot. Potential bidders must register with the Procurement Officer to receive subsequent amendments, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid rejection. The anticipated contract award is scheduled for the week of July 22, 2025, with a contract term ending approximately December 31, 2025. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation, including certification forms and conflict of interest statements, to be considered for the contract.
