About this opportunity

Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, is seeking qualified contractors to bid on a Clean Agent Fire Suppression System project for the Dispatch Center located within the Ozaukee County Justice Center in Port Washington. The project involves installing a comprehensive fire protection solution for a 2,500 square foot area, specifically targeting the Dispatch Center, Electrical Distribution room, and IT Room. Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 AM on September 26th, 2025, at the Justice Center, with a pre-submittal conference scheduled for September 12th at 10:00 AM. Contractors must submit a certified check or bond for 5% of the total bid amount as a bid guarantee. The project requires furnishing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment, with a projected completion date of December 31, 2025. Bidders must provide a lump sum proposal that integrates with the existing Johnson Controls Fire Monitoring System and includes comprehensive site restoration and safety precautions.

There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on bidder qualifications mentioned in the documentation. Prequalification of bidders is not required for this procurement. The contractor will need to provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including general liability and workers' compensation. While no incumbent vendor is identified, the project emphasizes integration with existing infrastructure at the Justice Center. The bid documents do not specify a precise budget range, but the comprehensive nature of the fire suppression system installation suggests a significant investment in critical infrastructure protection. Contractors should be prepared to demonstrate technical expertise in fire suppression systems, particularly in sensitive environments like dispatch and technology infrastructure areas. The project requires careful coordination to minimize disruption to ongoing operations at the Justice Center.
