About this opportunity

The Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), on behalf of the Community College of Denver (CCD), is requesting quotes for interior and exterior signage fabrication and installation at the Boulder Creek Health and Science Center, with quotes due August 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

The scope comprises six signs: five exterior illuminated and non-illuminated logos and lettering at the main entrance, Colfax & 9th, Colfax & RTD, and secondary locations; and one interior halo-illuminated feature sign at the entrance. Interior signage includes a non-illuminated CCD logo (60.8" × 89.2") and halo-illuminated lettering (9.25"–16.6") with non-illuminated stainless steel lettering (12") for the Dental and Veterinary Clinics. Exterior logos require illumination. All work must comply with design intent specifications in Exhibit A. Pricing must include labor, materials, delivery, installation, site survey, and permit procurement and fees. The bid document also requests hourly labor rates for Project Manager and Superintendent roles and assumes work during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. MST) with electrical connections within six feet of signage locations and scissor or boom lift equipment included.

Respondents must demonstrate a minimum of three completed projects within the last five years involving signage fabrication and installation for higher education, K-12 educational, governmental, municipal, healthcare, or similarly complex institutional facilities, with project descriptions, values, completion dates, and client references. Experience with illuminated and non-illuminated signage, shop drawing production coordinating electrical requirements, work on occupied campuses or active construction sites, and valid Colorado licensing and insurance are mandatory. Prior to Purchase Order execution, the awarded respondent must provide proof of Good Standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and insurance certificates for workers' compensation, commercial general liability with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence, and automobile liability with minimum limits of $1 million per accident combined single limit.

Installation is anticipated for late September through early December 2026, with flexibility to extend through December 31 if needed. Pricing must remain firm during the Purchase Order term. Award notification is estimated for August 26, 2026. Price is the primary evaluation factor, with consideration also given to demonstrated quality, relevant experience, capacity to meet schedules, and quality of project examples and references.
