About this opportunity
Miami-Dade County is requesting qualifications from contractors for the installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of replacement water main along NE 206th and 205th Streets, with qualifications due July 23, 2026. This is a pre-qualification (RFQ) procurement; only qualified firms will advance to formal bid invitation.
The scope encompasses installation of new 8-inch zinc-coated ductile iron water main with valves, hydrants, and service connections between NE 26th Avenue and West Dixie Highway. Work includes flushing and air release assemblies, testing and disinfection of the new main, abandonment of existing pipe, traffic maintenance during construction, and restoration of pavement, sidewalks, landscaping, and other disturbed areas to a condition equal to or better than original state. All facilities must be installed, tested, and commissioned to full operational readiness.
The RFQ requires demonstration of experience, financial capacity, and technical capability in water main installation and utility construction. Miami-Dade County will use the pre-qualification phase to establish a roster of eligible bidders before releasing the formal invitation to bid.
