About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive bids for the rapid and comprehensive coordination and removal of remaining non-vessel Hurricane Irma marine debris from sensitive and managed habitats throughout the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS). The work, which must be completed by September 15, 2023, involves identifying, removing, and disposing of the debris while adhering to Best Management Practices to minimize impacts on wildlife and habitat. Bidders must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and with Sunbiz prior to the bid opening. A mandatory pre-bid conference call was held on May 17, 2023, and sealed bids are due by June 2, 2023. The FWC will award the contract to the responsive, responsible bidder who submits the lowest total bid price, and will pay the contractor on a cost reimbursement basis up to the maximum price quoted for each of the specified priority areas and grids.
The procurement is open to all vendors registered in the MFMP system, and the FWC encourages participation by minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprises. No incumbent or set-asides are mentioned in the provided documents. The contract will be funded with federal funds, but not from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The pricing for this contract is expected to include all necessary costs to complete the project, including but not limited to coordination, administration, mobilization, demobilization, staging, permitting, removal, transport, disposal, reporting, and environmental measures.
