About this opportunity
The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) is seeking a vendor to repair and service its estimated requirements of Allison Remanufactured Transmissions. The procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) that requires the successful vendor to provide OEM Allison brand remanufactured transmissions, as well as removal, replacement, and other in-vehicle repair services. The vendor must be able to deliver remanufactured transmissions within 3 working days and complete transmission repairs within 5 working days, with the service facility located within a 75-mile radius of ISTHA's central warehouse. The contract will have an initial 2-year term, with the option to renew for up to an additional 2 years. Vendors must submit detailed pricing, including unit prices for Allison transmission models, labor rates, and a percent discount or markup from the Allison Distributor Net Price List for additional parts. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be emailed to the Information Contact no later than 2:30pm on 12/8/2020.
The IFB indicates this is not a small business set-aside, but there are potential goals for Minority, Women, and Persons with Disabilities, as well as Veteran-Owned Small Business participation. Funding for the contract may include federal sources, and the State will deduct a $15 fee for the Minority Contractor Initiative from the first payment to the awarded vendor. The IFB does not specify the incumbent vendor or the estimated value or budget range for the contract.
