About this opportunity

The California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Performance Art Workshops to be provided to adult patients/individuals with varying degrees of mental illnesses at DSH locations in Los Angeles County. The selected contractor will be required to provide all labor, insurance, medical clearance, and incidentals necessary to deliver the workshops, which will be held two days per week for a total of 8 hours per week at the DSH-Metropolitan location, with the potential to expand to other DSH sites. The contract term is anticipated to be from October 21, 2024 through June 30, 2026. Bidders must meet minimum qualifications including proof of legal right to do business in California, relevant references, agreement to sign the contract, and demonstrated experience. Bids will be evaluated based on responsiveness and responsibility, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The solicitation allows for the application of small business and disabled veteran-owned small business preferences and incentives when evaluating bids. DSH does not permit the use of subcontractors for this service and will not reimburse any travel-related expenses. DSH makes no guarantee of the actual amount of work to be performed, but the hourly rates quoted by the bidder shall be binding for the term of the agreement.
