About this opportunity
The Pueblo West Metropolitan District is seeking bids for IFB-2024-W-005, a comprehensive Filters & Clarifiers Rehabilitation project located at 20 W. Palmer Lake Drive, covering Filters 5 & 6 and Clarifiers 8 & 11. The procurement involves supplying all materials and labor to rehabilitate water treatment plant infrastructure, with key deliverables including removal and disposal of existing media, installation of new specified media, surface preparation, basin coating, and replacement of multiple system components such as nozzles, waste gates, gaskets, and steel fasteners. Contractors must complete the project within 120 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed, with a bid response deadline of November 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 22, 2024. Bidders are required to submit a 5% Bid Bond and will be evaluated based on their ability to meet technical specifications, with the bid divided into two schedules: Schedule A for Filters 5 & 6 and Schedule B for Clarifiers 8 & 11. The project requires specific technical expertise in water treatment infrastructure rehabilitation and precise media installation.
The solicitation encourages participation from minority, small, disadvantaged, and women-owned enterprises, with bidders required to comply with Colorado labor preference laws. No specific incumbent vendors are identified, though certain components are noted as proprietary to Roberts Water Technologies, Inc. The successful contractor must provide a Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Certificates of Insurance, including a builders risk insurance policy with a $100 deductible. While a total contract value is not explicitly stated, bidders will provide unit pricing for various media layers and components, suggesting flexibility in final project costs. The Pueblo West Metropolitan District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding process. Proprietary materials like ContraClarifier media must be NSF61 listed and delivered in super sacks and palletized. The project will be funded directly by the Pueblo West Metropolitan District, with the bid remaining open for 30 days after the bid opening and the successful bidder required to sign the agreement within 10 days of the Notice of Award.
