About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Public Health Office of EMS and Trauma issued an eRFP for 25 IDTN Disinfection Units with proposals due November 17, 2016, but this solicitation has been cancelled and will not proceed to award.
The scope required disinfection units for use by Infectious Disease Transportation Network (IDTN) Service personnel to disinfect ambulances after transport of patients with highly communicable or significant infectious diseases to state-designated Infectious Disease hospitals. A critical eligibility requirement was that the supplier demonstrate prior working relationships with customers requiring air transport disinfection capability and prior experience with a government or military entity. The units were intended to enhance interoperability and safety across IDTN Services and increase Georgia's preparedness against communicable diseases, complementing previously allocated personal protective equipment from a prior grant. Responses were submitted through the Team Georgia Marketplace electronic portal.
Opportunity text
This electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide IDTN Disinfection Units to the Georgia Department of Public Health Office of EMS and Trauma (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP. The supplier must have a prior working relationship with a customer that required the ability to disinfect air transport and they must have had a prior working relationship with a government or military entity. The qualified winning bidder will provide 25 Disinfection Units to be used by the Infectious Disease Transportation Network (IDTN) Service personnel to disinfect their transport vehicles (ambulances) after the transport of a patient with a highly communicable or significant infectious disease to one of the state designated Infectious Disease hospitals. Each of the IDTN Service personnel serve on the state Infectious Disease Transportation Network. In an attempt to increase interoperability and safety of the IDTN Service personnel, each of the services have been allocated the exact same personal protective equipment (PPE) from a previous grant. The purchase of these Disinfection Units will increase each of the Services personnel's level of protection against significant communicable diseases. Thus, increasing the level of preparedness of the state of Georgia. For more information regarding this solicitation, please click on the "Click To Submit Your Response" link.
