About this opportunity
The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) has issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the removal and disposal of tires and other scrap rubber materials from the Vandalia Correctional Center. The selected vendor must be EPA certified and will be required to pick up the materials within 5 business days after a service call, provide loaders and operators, and ensure the dumpsite is clean after removal. The vendor must notify IDOC immediately of any issues that could impact the pickup, and the waste cannot be removed outside of Illinois. Bids are due no later than June 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM (CST) and should be submitted via BidBuy. The initial contract term is upon execution through August 15, 2021. The contract will be awarded to the vendor providing the lowest price per ton for an estimated 20 tons of tires and other scrap rubber materials. The total contract value is estimated, not firm.
There are no special set-asides, and the State does not indicate if there is an incumbent vendor. Funding for this contract will come from the State's general revenue sources. The State does not provide any information on the budget range or potential award value for this contract.
