About this opportunity

The State of Illinois, through the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), is seeking a Certified Water System Operator/vendor to provide Illinois Environmental Protection Act (IEPA) required water testing services for the Robinson Correctional Center in Dekalb County for a period of two (2) years. The selected vendor will be responsible for the collection, testing, and reporting of the facility's water supply, including weekly water sampling and testing, monthly total coliform rule testing, bi-annual lead and copper sampling, and annual disinfection by-product sampling. The vendor must be a Responsible Operator in Charge (ROINC) Class B or higher certified water system operator and comply with detailed requirements for personnel, operations, security clearances, and record maintenance.

The contract does not have a set-aside designation, but the State encourages participation from minority, women, veteran, and disabled-owned businesses. The contract was previously awarded to EJ Water Cooperative, Inc. for a total of $75,960. The IFB does not specify a maximum contract value, and pricing must be submitted through the BidBuy online system. The contract is subject to the availability of funds and has no renewal options.
