About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Criminal Investigations, is pursuing a single-source procurement opportunity with ICOR Technology Inc. for hardware and software upgrades to their existing robotic systems. The contract, which is not a traditional competitive bid, seeks proprietary upgrades specifically designed for ICOR robots that cannot be sourced from alternative vendors. Prospective vendors are invited to submit relevant information demonstrating their capabilities by November 19, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. (ET), with the potential for a direct contract award if no comparable alternatives are identified. The procurement focuses on specialized technological enhancements to current robotic infrastructure, requiring precise compatibility with existing ICOR equipment. Vendors must provide detailed information demonstrating their ability to meet the specific technological requirements of the Department of Financial Services' robotic systems. Key objectives include facilitating hardware and software modifications that ensure continued proper performance of the existing ICOR robots.
The procurement appears to be restricted to a single source, specifically ICOR Technology Inc., due to the proprietary nature of their robotic systems and associated software. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises were mentioned in the documentation. The current contract is estimated at $170,618.07 for a one-year period, covering comprehensive hardware and software upgrades. The opportunity is geographically situated in Leon County, Florida, and is being managed by the state's Department of Financial Services. ICOR Technology Inc. is identified as both the incumbent and proposed vendor, with no indication of alternative vendors capable of providing equivalent technological solutions. The procurement process will follow Section 120.57(3) of Florida Statutes, which allows for single-source procurement when services are determined to be available from only one vendor. The contract aims to maintain and enhance the existing technological infrastructure of the Department of Criminal Investigations' robotic systems.
