About this opportunity

The City of Dublin and County of Laurens Development Authority (DLCDA) in Georgia is procuring the construction of a new fire pump house facility to support the Hwashin Plant 5 manufacturing site. The project involves the construction of a 166 square foot standalone masonry structure to house a new fire protection pump that will tie into a new fire protection line serving the Hwashin Plant 5 buildings. The successful contractor will also be required to provide an emergency generator for the facility. Sealed bids are due by 2:30 pm local time on October 3, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder by October 18, 2024. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on September 23, 2024. Bidders must comply with the Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law and submit a 5% bid bond, as well as provide 100% payment and performance bonds if awarded the contract.

The project is funded by DLCDA, and the contract is subject to federal, state, and local contract provisions. DLCDA encourages locally owned firms, small businesses, and minority-owned businesses to respond to the invitation. The bid price may be negotiated if the lowest responsive, responsible bid exceeds the project budget. No incumbent contractors or specific budget ranges are provided, but the documents indicate this is part of a larger expansion and new construction effort for the Hwashin Georgia manufacturing plant.
