UNSPSC 95122403: Warehouse store

A building that houses warehouse space that is subdivided to the trade

UNSPSC 95122403 Warehouse store (Commodity) represents a significant mismatch between the code taxonomy and the actual work being procured by state and local agencies. The code shows minimal recent activity aligned with its nominal scope; the recent state and local opportunities block contains no solicitations for warehouse facilities, warehouse operations, warehouse equipment, or warehouse storage services. Instead, the posted opportunities span construction and renovation projects—irrigation system installations, metal buildings, restroom facilities, fire stations, beach access ramps, chilled water system upgrades, elevator replacements, and various correctional and healthcare facility upgrades—none of which fall under warehouse store procurement. The absence of warehouse-related solicitations in the block indicates either that the code receives sparse demand from state and local buyers, or that procurement officers are tagging construction and site-work opportunities with the wrong UNSPSC classifier.

If warehouse store procurement does occur in state and local markets, it is not reflected in the recent-opportunities block. Business development professionals evaluating this code should verify independently whether state and local demand exists for warehouse facilities, warehouse management systems, or warehouse storage services before committing resources to pursue opportunities under 95122403. The code warrants watch status rather than active pursuit until representative recent opportunities surface.
