About this opportunity
Hanover-Horton School District in Michigan is requesting proposals for high school serving line equipment under RFP-2027-001, with sealed bids due October 5, 2026 at 9:45 a.m. and a Notice of Addendum issued September 21, 2026 that revises Attachment H (Project Scope) in its entirety. The procurement is anticipated to exceed Michigan's statutory bid threshold of $31,321.
The scope comprises six mobile serving line units: a 60-inch 4-well hot food counter, two 60-inch cold food counters with dual-temperature overshelves, two 60-inch utility counters (one with drop-in heated shelf, one with heated display merchandiser), and a 46-inch POS/cashier utility counter. All equipment must be manufactured by LTI, Duke, or equivalent, with dimensional flexibility of plus or minus 3 inches in width or depth. Required specifications include 14-gauge stainless steel tops, ADA-compliant heights of 34 inches, uniform depths of 32 inches, heavy-duty 5-inch swivel casters with brakes, internal pin-and-latch locking mechanisms for interlocking multiple units, and solid surface countertops (Wilsonart Morning Ice 9204CE or equivalent). The scope of work encompasses uncrating, inspection, delivery, installation, electrical and plumbing hookup, operational verification, and a minimum 2-year parts and labor warranty. Optional alternates include waterless hot food wells, integrated heated food guards, and existing equipment removal and disposal.
Evaluation prioritizes proposed total contract sum as the primary determining factor, though service and delivery timeline will also be considered. Post-bid interviews may be conducted October 6–7, 2026, with contract award anticipated by October 16, 2026 and delivery/installation scheduled for March 26–30, 2027. Bidders may request clarification until September 30, 2026. Optional pre-bid facility walkthroughs are available by appointment. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum with a signed acknowledgement form or risk disqualification, and submit multiple federal certifications including debarment, Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Buy American, and nondiscrimination compliance. The School District reserves the right to award in whole or in parts to multiple bidders and to reject any or all bids.
