About this opportunity

KIPP Metro Atlanta Collaborative, Inc. (KIPP), a public charter school organization, is seeking to procure high impact virtual one-to-one literacy tutoring services for K-5 scholars across five school sites in Fulton County, Georgia. The Request for Proposals (RFP) calls for the provision of 20-30 minutes of one-to-one tutoring during scholars' small group instructional blocks, to be delivered from November through May. KIPP will use assessment data to identify 750 scholars in need of the tutoring services. The RFP outlines detailed requirements, including that the tutoring approach must be research-based, the tutors must be trained professionals, and the services must align with the science of reading. Proposers must have the capacity to provide the full scope of tutoring services. KIPP will evaluate proposals based on the respondents' qualifications, financial stability, service approach and performance, responsiveness to KIPP's needs, and pricing. The RFP was released on October 11, 2024, with proposals due by October 29, 2024 at 12 PM ET. Bidder presentations may be scheduled for October 30, 2024, and KIPP anticipates making an award by November 1, 2024. The contract term will be from November 5, 2024 through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of two additional one-year renewal periods.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, and no existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are mentioned. The RFP does not provide any information about the possible award values or budget ranges.

We are looking to provide high-impact literacy tutoring via a virtual one-to-one model for 25 scholars in each grade level from kindergarten through 5th grade across five school sites. This equates to high-impact literacy tutoring for 750 scholars. Scholars would receive 20-30 minutes of one-to-one tutoring during their small group instructional block, during which identified scholars should engage with a trained literacy professional on their targeted deficit area. KIPP Atlanta will use assessment data to identify scholars for tutoring based on ¿Below Benchmark¿ assessment results on our reading screener. High-impact tutoring should be provided from November through May.
