About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet is requesting bids on guest room amenities for the Kentucky Department of Parks under RFB 758 2600000676, with bids due July 8, 2026 at 1:30 PM ET and written questions due June 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET. The solicitation carries reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and qualified bidders including Kentucky Correctional Industries (20% preference) and qualified nonprofit agencies for individuals with severe disabilities (15% preference).
The scope covers 14 line items of guest room furnishings and amenities including plastic stackable ashtrays, iron storage bags, comforter storage bags, deluxe coffee trays, folding retractable hair dryers, hair dryer bags, wooden hangers for men and women, ice buckets, irons, ironing board hangers, ironing boards, luggage racks, and ice bucket trays, with specified manufacturers and model numbers for each item. Vendors may propose approved equal alternatives if descriptive literature is submitted with the bid. Estimated quantities total approximately 820 individual units across five parks serving immediate needs. Pricing must be quoted per unit on an FOB Destination Freight Prepaid and Allowed basis, inclusive of all shipping and delivery charges, and must exclude federal excise tax and Kentucky sales or use tax.
The initial contract period is one year from award with four optional two-year renewal periods subject to written agreement. Pricing must remain firm for a minimum of 60 days after bid opening; price increases are permitted after the first 12 months only with written justification based on industry-wide changes. Award will be made on best value basis, weighted at 90 points for price (lowest bidder receives maximum points) and 10 points for delivery time in working days (lowest delivery time receives maximum points). Bids must be submitted electronically through the Commonwealth eProcurement System. The successful bidder must maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Addendum No. 1, issued June 30, 2026, changed the unit of measure from case to each and clarified that vendors should quote unit prices for a quantity of one regardless of case pack configurations.
