About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet is requesting bids on guest room amenities for the Kentucky Department of Parks under RFB 758 2600000676, with bids closing July 8, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. ET and written questions due June 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Kentucky Correctional Industries receives a 20% preference and qualified bidders receive a 15% preference under Kentucky statute.
The scope comprises 14 line items of hospitality products for five state parks with immediate needs, including plastic stackable ashtrays, storage bags for irons and comforters, coffee trays, folding retractable hair dryers, hair dryer bags, wooden flat hangers (men's and women's), ice buckets, irons, ironing board hangers, ironing boards, luggage racks, and ice bucket trays. Quantities are estimated and itemized by case count. Bidders may propose alternate brands and specifications if descriptive literature is provided; failure to do so renders a bid non-responsive. Pricing must be provided as per-unit cost inclusive of all shipping and delivery charges, exclude federal excise taxes and Kentucky sales or use taxes, and remain firm for twelve months.
The initial contract period is one year from award, with four optional two-year renewal periods available subject to written approval by all parties and potential renegotiation. Delivery time must be stated in specific working days; vague terms render bids non-responsive. Vendors missing contracted delivery dates have 1% deducted from invoices per day of delay.
Evaluation uses a best value ranking with price weighted at 90 points and delivery time at 10 points, for 100 total points. The lowest bidder receives maximum price points, with subsequent bidders scored proportionally.
Vendors must hold Commercial General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate prior to award. All bids must be submitted electronically through the Commonwealth eProcurement system; vendors must be registered in Vendor Self Service at least 24–48 hours prior to submission. Residents bidder affidavits and qualified bidder affidavits are required. Contact Keith Srutowski at 502-564-7007 for additional information.
