About this opportunity

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (BOR) is soliciting statements of qualifications from design professional firms for the University Bookstore Addition and Renovation project at Georgia State University, identified as Project No. BR-50-2602. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify potential providers of design professional services for construction activities in Atlanta, located within Fulton County. The primary objectives include renovating and potentially expanding the existing university bookstore facility, with specific focus on architectural and engineering design services. Qualified firms will be evaluated based on their professional capabilities, experience with similar higher education infrastructure projects, and demonstrated technical expertise. The procurement timeline indicates the opportunity was posted on October 17, 2025, with qualification submissions due by November 17, 2025. Respondents must carefully review the entire RFQ document and understand that the Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any submissions or waive technical informalities at their discretion.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation, potential respondents should anticipate standard competitive procurement protocols typical of state-level university system contracts. The project appears to be a comprehensive design services procurement without predetermined budget constraints disclosed in the current documentation. The procurement is specifically targeting design professional firms with demonstrated capabilities in university facility renovation and expansion projects. Potential respondents should be prepared to provide comprehensive qualifications demonstrating their technical expertise, prior relevant project experience, and professional capacity to successfully complete the University Bookstore Addition and Renovation project. The Board of Regents may invite select qualified firms to participate in subsequent interview processes as part of their vendor selection methodology.
