About this opportunity
Georgia State University, operating under the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is issuing an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) to procure a cloud-based, vendor-hosted Digital Preservation System (DPS) for Georgia State University Library. The procurement seeks a qualified supplier to establish an agency contract for an initial one-year term with nine one-year renewal options, for a potential 10-year engagement. The Digital Preservation System will serve as a secure, standards-compliant repository for the library's growing collection of born-digital and digitized content, including archival materials and institutional records, ensuring long-term integrity, accessibility, and authenticity. The primary deliverables and objectives include identifying an appropriate digital preservation platform, migrating data from the existing platform to the new system, and setting up and launching the new DPS for the university's use over a 10-year period. Qualified suppliers must demonstrate expertise in cloud-based digital preservation solutions and the ability to meet standards-compliance requirements for archival and institutional records management. The RFP was posted on February 24, 2026, with proposals due by March 31, 2026.
The procurement documentation does not specify any particular set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for specific organizational types at this time. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specific existing technology infrastructure requiring integration has been identified in the available procurement materials. Similarly, the procurement announcement does not provide an explicit award value or budget range for this contract opportunity. Interested vendors should consult the complete RFP documentation and any subsequent amendments or addenda issued by Georgia State University for comprehensive details regarding evaluation criteria, technical specifications, pricing expectations, and any additional qualification requirements or organizational restrictions that may apply to potential bidders.
