About this opportunity
The City of Peachtree City is requesting sealed bids for grinding and removal of organic matter at its Recycling Center under IFB 23-101BPW, with bids due November 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Purchasing Department, 151 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.
Bidders may submit bids for grinding only or grinding with loading and hauling services. The contractor must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience and provide three municipal references for similar projects completed within the past five years. A mandatory personal site inspection and questionnaire with detailed project history are required. Work must comply with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, including E-Verify registration and worker verification protocols; all subcontractors must similarly comply.
The estimated annual volume is 3,000 to 4,000 cubic yards processed in three to four pulls per year. Material volume will be measured in cubic yards using grinding equipment's integrated measurement capability, or via field measurements of the final stockpile if necessary (clarified in Addendum #1, issued November 14). Pricing shall be submitted as unit costs per cubic yard of post-grinding volume with separate line items for each service option. Payment is made on net 30-day basis following completion and approval of work cycles.
The contract runs for one year from award through September 30, 2023, with options to extend for three additional fiscal years (October 1 through September 30). The contractor must obtain and maintain $1 million combined single-limit liability insurance, $1 million comprehensive automobile liability insurance, and Workers' Compensation Insurance with employer's liability minimums of $100,000 per accident and $500,000 policy limit. The contractor bears all equipment operation, fueling, maintenance, insurance, and personnel costs.
Bids remain valid for 60 days following opening; bidders may not withdraw bids for 90 days after submission. Requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to aegan@peachtree-city.org by close of business five business days prior to bid submission. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award to the lowest, best, responsible, and responsive bidder.
