About this opportunity
Orange County, Florida is seeking sealed bids for a comprehensive grease traps and lift station cleaning, maintenance, and repair contract (IFB #Y23-100-TF) for the Orange County Convention Center. The solicitation covers services for 28 identified grease traps across West, North, and South Buildings, with varying sizes from 750 to 20,000 gallons. Contractors must provide pump and inspection services for grease traps, oil separators, storm drains, and a lift station, with specific requirements for pump-out frequencies ranging from 7 to 180 days. The contract term is three years with potential renewal for two additional one-year periods. Electronic bids are due by 4:00 PM EST on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, through the OpenGov Procurement portal, with a virtual non-mandatory pre-bid conference held on October 20, 2022, at 11:00 AM EST. Required services include detailed pricing for pump and inspection, on-call repairs, emergency services, confined space entry, crane rental, and vactor truck services. Contractors must also provide used cooking oil collection, with monthly payments to the convention center based on fair market value.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The contract appears open to qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical and operational requirements for grease trap and lift station maintenance. The solicitation includes comprehensive pricing schedules for various service categories, suggesting potential annual contract values could be substantial, though exact budget ranges were not specified. Contractors will need to demonstrate expertise in industrial-scale facility maintenance, with specific qualifications required for personnel performing specialized services like confined space entry and emergency repairs. The County reserves the right to add or delete service locations and adjust requirements throughout the contract period. While no incumbent vendor was identified, the detailed mapping and identification of grease trap locations in Attachments A and B provide potential bidders with extensive site-specific information to prepare comprehensive proposals.
