About this opportunity
The Nevada State Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation (DETR) Rehabilitation Division, Bureau of Services to the Blind & Visually Impaired (BSBVI)/Business Enterprises of Nevada (BEN) program, is conducting an informal solicitation for grease trap/interceptor cleaning services in Southern Nevada, including three sites at the Hoover Dam. The procurement seeks qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive range of services including cleaning and deodorizing of grease traps and interceptors, repair of grease traps and interceptors, pumping and cleaning of lift stations and septic tanks, unclogging drain lines, water and sewer line replacement, sewer odor detection, backflow testing and certification, and equipment inspections. Vendors need not perform all listed services to be considered for award, and the State does not guarantee any minimum volume of service. Required qualifications include maintaining a staffed office during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with 24-hour emergency service availability, responding to service calls within 15 minutes by telephone, and physically responding to sites within 4 hours. Vendors must hold a Nevada state business license, comply with Nevada law regarding venue and indemnity, and agree not to engage in a boycott of Israel. All work at the Hoover Dam must comply with Federal Bureau of Reclamation rules and regulations, and any work meeting criteria of $1,000 or more in labor and materials, requiring building permits, or involving new plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, heating, or air-conditioning work is subject to Nevada Contractor License requirements. Vendors must submit detailed pricing through a cost schedule and rates form, with evaluation conducted on a 100-point scale based on proposal review against mandatory minimum requirements. The quote submission deadline is March 24, 2026, with contract commencement anticipated on or about July 1, 2026, upon Board of Examiners' approval.
This solicitation is restricted to Nevada-registered vendors who comply with state procurement procedures and maintain appropriate business credentials and insurance coverage. Vendors must submit responses exclusively through the online bidding platform nevadaepro.com before the stated deadline; submissions via physical copy, email, or other methods will not be accepted. All solicitation questions must be submitted through the bid Q&A feature on nevadaepro.com by specified deadlines, and vendors are prohibited from contacting state agencies directly regarding solicitation contents until after a notice of award is issued. Contractors must procure and maintain comprehensive insurance throughout contract performance, including Commercial General Liability coverage with a $2,000,000 general aggregate limit, Automobile Liability coverage with a $1,000,000 combined single limit, and Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability coverage at statutory limits, with the State of Nevada named as an additional insured on all applicable policies. The contract is subject to standard Nevada state procurement terms, including payment processing within 45 to 60 days of invoice receipt, potential assessment of an administrative fee up to 1 percent quarterly, and termination rights reserved by the State with thirty days' notice or immediately if funding is withdrawn. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the solicitation documents; compensation will be determined based on vendor-submitted rates and the actual volume and type of services requested by the State during contract performance.
