About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking proposals for the demolition and renovation of two shower rooms located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Goss Building at the Taunton State Hospital in Taunton, Bristol County. The scope of work includes the demolition of six existing shower stalls and the installation of eight new shower cubicles. The selected contractor must have been in a similar business for a minimum of five years and demonstrate the required experience and capacity. Responses are due by April 8, 2005 at 1:00 pm, and the contract will be awarded based on "BEST VALUE" considerations such as prior performance and cost. The contract will have a maximum obligation amount, and federal funds will not be used.

The Commonwealth has established an Affirmative Market Program (AMP) to promote equality in the market and encourage full participation of minority and women-owned business enterprises, businesses owned by individuals with disabilities, and businesses owned and controlled by socially or economically disadvantaged individuals. Bidders must submit an AMP Plan as part of their response, which will be evaluated at 10% or more of the total evaluation. The Commonwealth Terms and Conditions, as well as other administrative forms, must also be completed and submitted with the response. The contract will be a one-time purchase, and no additional details regarding pricing, set-asides, incumbents, or funding requirements are provided.
