About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting bids on a gooseneck trailer for Bangor Regional Headquarters with proposals due April 17, 2012.
The scope is a single gooseneck trailer built to detailed specifications covering deck construction, axle configuration, brake systems, lighting, coupling mechanisms, safety equipment, welding standards, and material grades. No estimated contract value, incumbent contractor, or contract term is identified in the source materials.
The State of Maine's General Terms and Conditions govern the procurement. The contractor warrants conformity to specifications and merchantable quality, with defects discovered within one year of final acceptance to be remedied at the contractor's expense. Delivery must adhere strictly to the specified schedule; the contractor bears costs for expedited routing if delays result from their failure to meet deadlines. All articles are subject to final inspection and approval after delivery, with the Division retaining the right to reject nonconforming items or the entire shipment if sample inspection reveals 10 percent or more defective articles. The contractor must provide properly marked invoices and bills of lading promptly and assume all risk for articles fabricated beyond the Division's releases. The agreement is governed by Maine law. The Division reserves authority to adjust contract scope and delivery dates through written alterations and may terminate the contractor for failure to meet delivery schedules, failure to deliver specified materials or services, insolvency, or other material breach. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including environmental regulations, energy efficiency standards, and Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act requirements. For contracts exceeding $100,000, the contractor must indemnify and hold harmless the State and its agencies from all claims and losses arising from performance of the agreement.
