About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs, through its Geospatial Information Office (GIO), issued an eRFP on October 28, 2021 to establish a contract for Resilience Plan Development and Implementation for GIS Data required by Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911), with proposals due November 15, 2021.
The procurement is structured as a category award with two separate categories: Category A — Governance & Strategic Planning and Category B — Strategic Partnerships. Suppliers must respond to at least one category to be considered for award; responses to both categories are permitted and evaluated separately for award eligibility. The initiative aims to accelerate adoption and use of geospatial data, tools, and analytics across Georgia government entities to support NG911 migration, improve service delivery, public safety, and economic development, and strengthen rural communities. The scope includes uniting Georgia's private sector with cities, counties, regional commissions, and state agencies to establish geospatial information infrastructure sourced from local governments.
A Notice of Intent to Award was posted January 13, 2022. Two apparent successful offerors have been identified: Applied Geographics, Inc. and 319 Partners, LLC, each receiving a fixed contract amount of $125,000. The award amounts are identified as estimates only due to the open agency contract structure and identification of multiple awardees. The issuing officer is Barbara Burns at barbara.burns@doas.ga.gov. Protests must be submitted electronically to doas.protests@doas.ga.gov with reference to the Georgia Procurement Manual.

This eRFP is a category award which includes Category A- Governance & Strategic Planning and Category B - Strategic Partnerships. Supplier must respond to each one category to be considered for award but may respond to both and be considered for award for each category. Background Information Seeing is believing. That's why visualization technologies - particularly geospatial tools - are indispensable components of Government Services. Leveraging these technologies opens the door to better accountability, planning, and decision-making, improving economic development, government services delivery, and public safety. Within the Department of Community Affairs, the Georgia Geospatial Information Office (GIO) seeks to accelerate the adoption and use of geospatial data/tools/analytics throughout Georgia governments. This adoption will allow the DCA GIO program to be more efficient and effective in delivering vital services to our citizens and the businesses that call Georgia home. Using location-based sciences will help: the reform of state government for the better; strengthen our rural communities; make Georgia #1 for businesses, and put Georgians first! Specifically, Georgia's migration to Next Generation 9-1-1 requires geospatial information sourced from its local governments and supported by a solid state-level organization, the GIO. To ensure the longevity and efficiency of the Georgia NG9-1-1 GIS program, the GIO must unite Georgia's private sector with its cities, counties, regional commissions, and state agencies/authorities (collectively refe
