About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity involves ditch maintenance and cleaning services for the City of St. Cloud, Florida, with an intent to engage a single contractor to perform comprehensive maintenance across multiple locations. The services require removal of flow impediments including debris, trash, vegetation, trees, and sediment accumulation, with the primary objective of ensuring unobstructed water flow at each site. Contractors must demonstrate capability in basic surveying techniques, including verifying topographic information such as line, grade, and slope, and ability to interpret plans and drawings for ditch regrading. The solicitation was posted on March 10, 2025, with a due date of November 6, 2024, and requires contractors to confirm acceptance of stipulations through a Respondent's Certification. Services will be scheduled and performed on an as-needed basis, suggesting flexibility in service delivery and potential variable work volumes. While the contract opportunity is listed under Florida's state procurement system, the jurisdictions noted include King County and Spokane City, which appears inconsistent with the St. Cloud service location.
The procurement documents do not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. The solicitation does not provide clear information about award values, budget ranges, or specific funding sources for the ditch maintenance project. While one attached document is a Sample Agreement, it does not contain detailed financial terms. The procurement appears to be open to qualified contractors with demonstrated surveying and ditch maintenance capabilities, though no specific certification or licensing requirements are explicitly stated in the provided materials. The contract seems structured as an as-needed service agreement, which suggests potential for ongoing work based on the city's maintenance requirements. The attached files include technical documents like an Exhibit Map and project-related appendices, which might provide additional details about the specific locations and scope of ditch maintenance services.
