About this opportunity
The Town of Groton, Connecticut, located in New London County, is seeking sealed bids for a generator replacement project at two specific pump stations: Burgess Park and Lestertown Road. The procurement, identified as Solicitation Number PWC 23-08, involves replacing existing generators at these municipal infrastructure locations. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 21, 2022, at 1:30 PM at the Burgess Park Pump Station, located at 40 Birch Street in Groton. Potential bidders are required to submit bid security in the form of either a bid bond or certified check along with their proposal. The bid submission deadline is December 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM EST, with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud at the Town Hall Annex, located at 134 Groton Long Point Road. The vendor question and clarification period runs from November 8, 2022, to December 1, 2022, with interested parties encouraged to contact Karl Klein from the Department of Public Works at 860-441-6681 or kklein@groton-ct.gov for any inquiries.
The solicitation does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and the documents do not detail any existing infrastructure integration requirements. The procurement documents also do not disclose an estimated total contract value or specific budget range for the generator replacement project. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be determined by the vendor. The solicitation appears to be open to all vendors, with the contract likely to be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Two supplementary documents are referenced in the solicitation: a Web Bid Package for Generator Replacement and a PWC 23-08 Generator Replacement Addendum, which may contain additional technical specifications or requirements for potential bidders.
