About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Town of Groton, Connecticut, for generator replacements at two municipal pump stations: Burgess Park and Lestertown Road. The solicitation, identified as PWC 23-08, seeks sealed bids from vendors for replacing existing generators, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for November 21, 2022, at 1:30 PM at the Burgess Park Pump Station. Potential bidders must submit their proposals by December 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM EST, with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud at the Town Hall Annex. The vendor question and clarification period runs from November 8 to December 1, 2022, and bidders are required to include bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check.
The solicitation is open to all vendors, with delivery terms specified as Free On Board Destination and payment terms to be vendor-specified. No specific contract value, set-aside designations, or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are mentioned in the document. The procurement appears to be a straightforward replacement of generators at two critical municipal infrastructure locations, with the contract likely to be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Interested parties can contact Karl Klein from the Department of Public Works at 860-441-6681 or kklein@groton-ct.gov for additional information. Supplementary documents include a Web Bid Package for Generator Replacement and a PWC 23-08 Generator Replacement Addendum, which may provide additional technical specifications or requirements.
