About this opportunity
Georgia Southern University is seeking multiple qualified suppliers for a one-year contract to provide HVAC Equipment, Parts, & Supplies through an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) process. The procurement is being conducted pursuant to the State Purchasing Act and aims to establish a contract with suppliers who can provide new, commercial-grade HVAC equipment and supplies. The university seeks percentage-based discounts off list prices and requires suppliers to be capable of fulfilling standard and special orders for HVAC items. The contract will run for one year with four optional one-year renewals, beginning immediately after contract execution and protest period. The due date for responses is October 2, 2025, with the procurement covering Georgia Southern University and potentially extending to other University System of Georgia institutions, colleges, universities, and state agencies pending approval from USG and the Department of Administrative Services.
While no specific set-aside designations are mentioned, the contract allows for multiple supplier awards, suggesting opportunities for diverse vendors. The resulting contract will be available for use by other State of Georgia institutions with supplier, USG, and DOAS approval. There is no guaranteed spend commitment, and suppliers will be established to provide quotes and make purchases on an as-needed basis to maintain compliance with state regulations. Suppliers must offer new, commercial-grade equipment that is not refurbished or recycled, with discounts and warranty options to be advised during individual quote issuance. The procurement covers Brooks County and aims to create a flexible purchasing mechanism for HVAC equipment and supplies across state educational institutions.
