About this opportunity

The City of Walnut Grove, Georgia is requesting quotes for the FY 2027 Park Street Drainage Repair Project with quotes due October 14, 2026. The city will procure a minimum of three bids and reserves the right to select the best-value bidder based on knowledge and experience with similar projects, responsiveness, schedule, and references, or the lowest responsive bidder if two bidders are equally qualified.

The scope encompasses two primary work items. First, replacement of a damaged CMP culvert under Industrial Parkway with a 30-inch RCP culvert following GDOT specifications, placed on a minimum of 12 inches of foundation backfill with GDOT Safety Flared End Sections; head and tail ditches excavated to match the new culvert; culvert relocated 2 feet further from the Park Street edge; backfill with 57 stone and compacted GAB within 6 inches of finished grade; final 6 inches paved per GDOT 1401 detail. Industrial Parkway may be closed to traffic for up to 3 days during replacement. Second, regrading and stabilization of multiple eroded ditch sections along Park Street within a 60-foot right-of-way, including daily erosion-control best management practices; excavation and fill to achieve 2-foot flat bottoms with appropriate side slopes; sedimentation removal from all driveway culverts; matting, grassing, and fertilization of all ditches; and contractor responsibility through 85% permanent grass stand. Sod matching adjacent yard is required over disturbed areas greater than 4 feet from ditch bottoms. The city will coordinate utility conflicts through 811 and Walton EMC. Work hours are restricted to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Project completion is due November 15, 2026. Bid submissions must include a fee proposal, schedule, bidder qualifications, three references for similar work, and a list of all subcontractors with assigned work. Within seven days of award, the successful contractor must provide a Performance-Payment Bond for 100% of the base bid, proof of worker's compensation for all subcontractors, and Federal E-Verify documentation.
