About this opportunity

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is requesting responses for site survey services on the Southern New England Trunkline Trail property boundary establishment, with responses due May 22, 2026 by 5 p.m. via the Commbuys system and questions due May 13 at 5 p.m.

The scope covers approximately 4,315 linear feet of property line on South Street near house #38 in Plymouth County (Map 213, Parcels 15 & 18). The selected contractor must establish correct boundaries between DCR ownership and abutting properties, resolve encroachments, install monumentation at corners and angle points, prepare a recordable survey plan compliant with Registry of Deeds regulations, and record the final plan with the Worcester Registry of Deeds. Contractors must provide one mylar copy and four paper copies of the map to DCR and include latitude and longitude coordinates for all corners in degrees, minutes, and seconds format. All work must comply with the EEA Land Acquisition Policy-Specifications for Surveys dated January 6, 2015, except for Items 4 and 9, and current plan regulations under M.G.L. c. 36, Section 13A. A draft survey plan must be submitted for DCR review prior to final recording.

Work must be completed by June 15, 2026. Evaluation is based on references on file with the Commonwealth, previous experience with Commonwealth projects, and price. Respondents must be registered on the Commbuys Master Agreement FWE-SURVEY-19 and on the Commbuys platform. A Massachusetts Substitute Form W-9 and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) registration in the System of Awards Management are required. No pre-bid walk-through is scheduled. DCR reserves the right to accept or reject any quotes and contract with some, all, or none of the responding vendors.
