About this opportunity

The City of Warren, Michigan is requesting quotations for furnishing and installation of audio upgrades—Phase 2 of a natatorium loudspeaker system replacement—with quotations due August 12, 2026 via the BidNet (MITN) system. The scope requires seamless integration with existing JBL Control 29AV loudspeaker systems previously installed, making compatibility the central capability requirement.

The work includes removal and disposal of existing loudspeakers and mounting hardware; installation of six JBL Control 29AV loudspeakers with JBL factory U-brackets and marine grille kits (required due to the corrosive natatorium environment); installation of new speaker cable from amplifier location to each loudspeaker with proper termination, labeling, and testing; installation of new power amplifiers in the existing equipment rack; connection to existing audio source equipment; gain structure adjustment and balancing of all loudspeakers; system testing and final commissioning; and work-area cleanup. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental hardware necessary for complete installation.

Quotations must be submitted on an F.O.B. Destination basis with all delivery and additional charges included in the quoted price. Prices must be for new products in current production unless otherwise specified; any refurbished or discontinued items must be clearly identified. The City of Warren is sales-tax exempt; sales taxes should not be included in quotations. Normal payment terms are net 45 days from either the date of complete delivery or receipt of correct invoices at the City Controller's Office, whichever is later. The City reserves the right to reject any and all quotations, accept separate line items, award to multiple vendors, or re-solicit. The awarded vendor must comply with E-Verify requirements, nondiscrimination provisions, OSHA Safety Data Sheets requirements, and ADA compliance, and cannot assign the agreement without written City consent.
