About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting quotes for fresh eggs to supply correctional facility kitchens across five locations (Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility in Crowley, Buena Vista Correctional Complex, Central Warehouse in Canon City, Denver Women's Correctional Facility, and Sterling Correctional Facility), with quotes due July 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM Mountain Standard Time and award anticipated the same day.
Eggs must be USDA Grade A certified, brown or white, medium or large size, packed in 15 or 30 dozen cases, stamped and dated no more than 17 days prior to delivery, and maintained at temperatures not exceeding 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The initial delivery week is July 27–31, 2026, totaling 390 thirty-dozen cases distributed across the five facilities (AVCF 30 cases, BVCC 30 cases, CCCW 180 cases, DWCF 30 cases, SCF 120 cases). The awarded brand becomes mandatory with no substitutions permitted. Bidders must provide three calendar days' written notice if unable to meet delivery schedules; three separate delivery failures may result in vendor disqualification from future CDOC solicitations for three years or indefinitely. Product samples and nutritional specifications must be submitted for approval prior to award if the proposed product has not been previously approved by CDOC.
Pricing must be all-inclusive with no additional shipping charges, surcharges, or taxes payable by CDOC and must remain firm during the Purchase Order term. Invoices are submitted via email to doc_ap_warehouse@state.co.us by the 15th of each month. Written inquiries are due July 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM with responses published July 21. Quote submission occurs exclusively through bidnetdirect.com//cdoc. Award will be made to the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to CDOC, with price as the primary consideration and other factors including sample quality and lead time. Bidders must be registered in CORE, prove Good Standing with the Colorado Secretary of State, provide insurance certificates, and comply with enhanced criminal background investigation requirements within 30 days of award. Bidders must complete all exhibits including Statement of Work, Required Bidder Information (Exhibit B), W-9 form, Non-Conflict of Interest declaration (Exhibit F), and Contract Performance disclosure (Exhibit E).
