About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Corrections is soliciting quotes for fresh eggs to supply four correctional facility kitchens, with quotes due July 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time and written inquiries due June 29, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. MST under Documented Quote DQ 2026000529.
The scope calls for U.S. Grade A fresh eggs in brown or white varieties, supplied in 15 or 30 dozen case units, USDA inspected and stamped no more than 17 days prior to delivery, maintained at temperatures not exceeding 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Delivery is required during the week of July 6–10, 2026, to four locations: Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility in Crowley, Central Warehouse in Canon City, Denver Women's Correctional Facility in Denver, and Sterling Correctional Facility in Sterling. Total quantity ordered is 270 cases of 30-dozen eggs (or 540 cases if bidders select 15-dozen case size). The specific brand awarded will be the expected delivery brand with no substitutions permitted. All pricing must be firm for the purchase order term and include all shipping costs on an F.O.B. Destination basis.
Award will be based on the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to CDOC, with price as the primary consideration; sample quality and lead time for delivery are secondary factors. The anticipated notice of intent to award and purchase order execution are both July 2, 2026, with the purchase order start date July 2, 2026.
Prior to purchase order execution, the awarded bidder must provide proof of good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and insurance certificates. All contractor personnel delivering goods to CDOC facilities must complete enhanced criminal background investigations and fingerprinting and may be subject to drug testing. Bidders must register with CORE and comply with CDOC security provisions. Failure to deliver on three separate occasions within the agreed timeframe may result in disqualification from future solicitations for three years or indefinitely. Bidders must submit complete responses including Statement of Work, Required Bidder Information, W-9 forms, price quotes, Contract Performance documentation, and Non-Conflict of Interest certifications through bidnetdirect.com.
