About this opportunity
The City of Tampa Arts and Cultural Affairs Department is requesting quotes for professional conservation framing services for seven fine art acrylic woodcut prints in the City's permanent public art collection, with quotes due October 7, 2026. The scope centers on museum-level, conservation-grade framing with specific material and dimensional requirements.
Each frame measures 57 inches by 33 inches and must incorporate 99% UV-filtering shatter-resistant acrylic glazing, natural wood frames with 1-inch face and 2-inch depth, 4-ply 100% cotton rag conservation mat board, 3/8-inch archival spacers, and heavy-duty corrosion-resistant hanging hardware. All materials must be conservation-grade and reversible to prevent damage to artwork. Framing may be performed on-site or off-site, with delivery to a City-determined location.
Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience providing conservation or museum-quality framing services and warrant all workmanship for a minimum of one year from completion. All shipping and freight charges must be included in the quote price, with delivery required within a timeframe specified after order receipt. Awardees must perform at least 51 percent of work with their own forces unless written approval for subcontracting is obtained.
The City reserves the right to award by division, line item, or aggregate total and may increase or decrease quantities without penalty. Quotes are valid for a minimum of 60 days. Proof of insurance is required prior to award. Awardees must comply with Florida Public Records Law, the City of Tampa Ethics Code, non-discrimination provisions, and E-Verify employment verification requirements. Payment is made approximately 30 days after receipt and acceptance of materials and correct invoices.
