About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is soliciting bids through an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for professional moving and relocation services to relocate the Fort Myers Regional Operations Center from two existing facilities (4700 Terminal Drive and 8421 Littleton Road) to a new 64,000 square-foot facility at 16595 Oriole Road in Fort Myers, Florida. The relocation project encompasses approximately 40,000 square feet of usable office space plus a 9,600 square-foot off-site warehouse, with the move to be executed in five phases between August 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026, including the movement of disassembled computers, office equipment, furniture, file cabinets, laboratory equipment, and boxes. Qualified bidders must hold a current Intrastate Movers (IM) license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, demonstrate a minimum of two years of commercial moving experience with businesses of similar size and security levels, and maintain Workers' Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance with the State of Florida listed as an additional insured. Pricing must be firm and fixed, inclusive of all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and associated costs, with separate pricing required for Phases I through IV and an hourly rate for surplus property removal. The mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for May 21-22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET; written bidder questions are due by May 29, 2026, with answers posted by June 3, 2026; and bids are due June 11, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. ET with public opening at 3:00 p.m. ET. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest Grand Total price for all phases plus hourly labor rate for surplus property removal, and bidder responses must include certifications regarding drug-free workplace status, scrutinized companies compliance, forced labor attestations, and references from three clients with similar services provided within the past three years.
No set-asides, preferences, or disadvantaged enterprise designations are specified for this procurement opportunity. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the solicitation materials. The FDLE retains the right to increase or decrease quantities and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor irregularities, or re-solicit if necessary. Payment will be made within 40 days of receipt of proper invoices and completion of services. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in the available documentation, as the award will be determined by competitive bidding based on the lowest responsive and responsible proposal submitted.
