About this opportunity

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is soliciting a Master Agreement for maintenance, inspection, calibration, and repair services for forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, balers, and equivalent material handling equipment across multiple CDCR locations, with proposals due September 28, 2026.

The scope encompasses preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, calibration, and repair services. The contractor must supply all labor, personnel, transportation (including travel, per diem, fuel, and mileage), materials, supplies, tools, necessary equipment, permits, licenses, taxes, fees, and shipping or freight charges. Compensation is on a time-and-materials or fixed-rate basis as specified in Exhibit B-1 (Rate Sheet), with all costs included in quoted rates unless the Master Agreement specifies otherwise.

Performance locations include Imperial County and Huntington Beach City, reflecting multiple CDCR facilities across the state. The Master Agreement structure indicates an ongoing contract vehicle with potential renewal options, though specific contract term and renewal provisions are contained in associated Master Agreement documentation not fully detailed in the notice.

The bid notice was posted September 12, 2026. Specific evaluation criteria, any set-asides or preferences, an incumbent contractor, estimated contract value, pre-bid meeting or site-visit dates, and the question-submission deadline are governed by terms in the Master Agreement documentation, which is not excerpted in this notice.
