About this opportunity
Jefferson County Purchasing Department (Watertown, New York) is soliciting sealed bids for Ford Genuine OEM parts and labor services under Bid #26-72, with bids due September 23, 2026 at 11:15 a.m. EST. This is an indefinite-quantity requirements contract with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchases.
The scope covers genuine Ford OEM replacement parts (shock absorbers, brake components, windshield wipers, mirrors, gaskets, radiator and heater components, belts, bearings, batteries, and other automotive parts) and labor services for County-owned Ford vehicles and equipment on an as-needed basis. Parts are priced from the manufacturer's price list subject to fluctuation, but quoted discounts remain firm for the contract life. In-stock parts must be delivered within 24 hours; out-of-stock parts within two days of order receipt, FOB destination. Vendors must quote a percentage discount from the manufacturer's list price for two separate one-year periods and provide hourly labor rates and wheel alignment pricing, with award determination based on the two-year average labor rate.
The initial contract term runs November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2028 (two years), with an option to renew for one additional year, not to exceed three years total. The County reserves the right to cancel the contract without cause with thirty days' notice. Service work preference is given to Jefferson County dealers.
Bidders must comply with New York State prevailing wage requirements if applicable and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including workers' compensation and commercial general liability with minimum limits of $1 million combined single limit for business automobile liability and $2 million general aggregate limit, naming the County as an additional insured. All bidders must certify compliance with non-collusive bidding practices, Iranian Energy Sector Divestment requirements, and sexual harassment prevention policies. The contract is subject to cooperative bidding provisions allowing other New York municipalities and school districts to piggyback on the award.
Sealed bids may be submitted electronically, by mail, or in person. The prior bid number is 2024F-2.
