About this opportunity
The County of Santa Clara Procurement Department is soliciting bids for Countywide Flooring Repair and Replacement Services through an Invitation to Bid (ITB-PRC-FY25-0366) due on July 24, 2025, prior to 3:00 PM. The procurement is classified as a Public Work requiring prevailing wage payments, with the successful contractor responsible for providing comprehensive flooring repair and replacement services across Santa Clara County. Contractors must possess a valid C-15 Flooring and Floor Covering Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State License Board at the time of bid submission. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's security in the form of cash, certified check, or bond totaling at least 10% of the total aggregate bid price. Bid documents must be submitted electronically through Biddingo, with the original bid bond physically delivered or mailed to the Procurement Department located at 130 W. Tasman Drive in San Jose, California. Bidders are required to upload their complete bid package and ensure the original bid bond is received in-office by the specified deadline.
The contract does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Contractors must comply with standard licensing requirements, specifically holding a C-15 contractor's license, which may limit participation to qualified flooring specialists. The bid is open to qualified contractors capable of performing comprehensive flooring repair and replacement services, with no indication of incumbent vendors or specific technology integration requirements. While the exact budget range is not specified in the document, the requirement for a 10% bid bond suggests a substantial project scope. Interested contractors must demonstrate technical capability, appropriate licensing, and financial stability to be considered for the countywide flooring services contract. Bidders are advised to carefully review all bid documents and comply with submission requirements, including electronic bid upload and physical bid bond delivery.
