About this opportunity
Collier County, Florida is seeking bids for Fleet Vehicle Purchases through Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-8322, issued by the Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division. The procurement targets the acquisition of new fleet vehicles, specifically Ford automobiles, vans, sport utility vehicles, crossover vehicles, and light/medium-duty trucks up to 33,000 pounds GVWR. The county anticipates purchasing between 50 to 80 vehicles annually, with the contract term set for three years and three potential one-year renewals. Evaluation criteria will focus on the highest percentage discount off the total dealer invoice price, with the county reserving the right to select one or more suppliers. Bidders must be Ford Motor Company authorized dealerships and provide warranty service options, including onsite services, dealer pickup and delivery, or dealer facility services within 10 miles of the County Fleet operations. The bid is due on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST, to be opened at the Procurement Services Division located at 3295 Tamiami Trail East, Building C-2 in Naples, Florida.
The solicitation includes specific requirements for potential bidders, emphasizing local vendor preferences for businesses with current Collier County or Lee County Business Tax Receipts. Vendors must be enrolled in E-Verify, provide proof of corporate status, and meet comprehensive insurance requirements within five days of award recommendation. The procurement allows for potential vehicle purchases by other county departments and includes federal provisions related to FTA-funded procurement, such as clean air and water pollution control, debarment and suspension, and domestic preference requirements. While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly mentioned, the county emphasizes local economic development and compliance with various state and federal regulations. The contract includes provisions for potential pricing and term extensions to other governmental entities, with pricing to include all charges such as delivery, transportation, dealer preparation, fuel, pollution taxes, and temporary registration fees. Though a specific award value is not precisely defined, the annual vehicle purchase range of 50 to 80 vehicles suggests a significant procurement opportunity for qualified vendors.
