About this opportunity

Paw Paw Public Schools is requesting sealed bids for one new 3/4-ton 4x4 work truck configured for Western snow removal equipment integration, with bids due September 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Admin Building, 119 Johnson Road, Paw Paw, Michigan. The vehicle must be current model year 2026 or 2027 with factory electrical and structural preparations for plow and spreader integration — a capability-driven scope that filters bidders to dealers capable of custom factory ordering and integration work.

The truck specification requires an extended or crew cab, heavy-duty V8 gasoline engine (minimum 6.4L or 7.3L displacement), automatic transmission, and minimum 10,000 lbs. GVWR. The awardee must deliver factory wiring preparation for a Western 8'6" Pro Plus front plow and Western Low Profile 1000 rear salt spreader, including front bumper wiring, rear bumper electrical routing, and integrated cabin upfitter switches. The scope explicitly excludes the physical plow blade, tailgate hopper, vehicle-side push-beam mounts, isolation modules, and handheld controllers — these are reserved for future equipment purchases.

Bidders must submit detailed line-item pricing separating base truck cost, front plow electrical prep, rear spreader electrical prep, and all title, documentation, fleet prep, and delivery fees. Required submittals include the bid proposal form, manufacturer's build sheet, electrical compliance documentation, warranty documentation, and sworn affidavits disclosing familial relationships with Paw Paw Public Schools Board members or the Superintendent and compliance with Michigan's Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The solicitation evaluates local dealership capabilities against existing state cooperative purchasing contracts through MiDEAL. Technical or procedural questions must be submitted to joshua.gibson@ppps.org no later than 48 hours before the bid due date. Bid quotes must remain valid for 90 calendar days. Vehicle delivery must occur during District operating hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bids must be submitted in duplicate physical copies plus one electronic copy to dan.grimm@ppps.org.
