About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity posted by Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is a procurement for a specific industrial component, specifically a FITTING UNION TEE 3/8 INCH, with reference number 2094747. The solicitation was posted on September 6, 2025, with a response deadline of September 10, 2025. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access complete bid details and must adhere to strict delivery and procurement guidelines. The procurement requires vendors to submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs included in the overall price. DART emphasizes that delivery timing and rates are critical, and failure to meet specified delivery parameters could result in order rejection or termination. Vendors must submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, including specific detailed information such as purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement process mandates compliance with DART's purchase order terms and conditions, which are comprehensively outlined in the attached PDF document.
The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. However, the terms and conditions document includes equal opportunity requirements and specific certifications, such as confirming vendors are not associated with foreign terrorist organizations and do not boycott Israel. DART's payment terms are explicitly defined as Net 30, meaning vendors will be paid 30 days from invoice or order receipt. The procurement appears to be for a specific industrial fitting, suggesting the potential award is likely a small-value purchase order focused on supplying precise mechanical components. While no specific budget range is provided, the narrow scope of the procurement (a 3/8 inch union tee fitting) implies a relatively modest contract value. Vendors must carefully review the complete terms and conditions, which outline comprehensive legal and operational guidelines governing the procurement process, including provisions for order acceptance, delivery requirements, warranties, and potential termination conditions.

Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
