The procurement covers cardio, free weight, and strength equipment located in the Student Recreation Center at the main campus in Storrs, Connecticut, with potential extension to regional campuses in Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, Waterbury, and the University of CT Health Center in Farmington. The primary objective is to maintain and service various fitness equipment to ensure optimal performance and functionality for university recreational facilities. The solicitation period runs from September 7, 2023, to October 12, 2023, with a vendor Q&A period from September 7 to September 29, 2023. Vendors must be capable of providing comprehensive preventative maintenance services and timely repairs for different types of fitness equipment. The delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, and payment terms will be vendor-specified. Dennis Sienna is the primary contact for this solicitation and can be reached at dennis.sienna@uconn.edu or 860-486-2000.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations, indicating that the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The solicitation does not provide an estimated total contract value or budget range, leaving pricing and financial details to be determined through the proposal process. The University reserves the right to extend any resulting contract(s) to its branch campus locations, suggesting potential flexibility and scalability for the selected vendor(s). The procurement does not outline specific integration requirements with existing infrastructure or technology. Interested vendors are expected to demonstrate their capability to service a wide range of fitness equipment across multiple campus locations, with the potential for a multi-site maintenance contract. The lack of predefined line items and total contract value indicates that the University is seeking competitive proposals that can be tailored to their specific maintenance needs.
