About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Facilities Development and Operations Department is soliciting bids for Fire Station 16B – Temporary Facility (Project P-2026-000054) with bids due July 16, 2026, and a mandatory site visit on July 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

The scope involves relocating an existing trailer to serve as a temporary fire station facility at 8130 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach, with a fixed occupancy date of October 1, 2026. Work includes utility connections, fire alarm reconnection, mechanical equipment installation, electrical infrastructure, backflow testing, and comprehensive as-built documentation. The contractor must obtain an underground contractor's license and schedule a pre-construction meeting with Seacoast Utility Authority. Site visit inspection is mandatory; prospective bidders must contact Niri Maharajh at 561-785-5407 to arrange attendance.

Cost allocation is split between Palm Beach County and the contractor. The County covers utility connection fees, utility installation fees including FPL charges, and water meter charges, excluding fees or permits associated with contractor mobilization that have not been waived. The contractor is responsible for inspection fees, impact fees, activation fees, and all permits and certifications, including backflow certification for the 4-inch double-check detector valve, pressure testing for fire lines, sewer inspection coordination, and meter documentation.

Addendum One (issued June 2, 2026) replaced Exhibit 1. Addendum Two (issued July 14, 2026) clarified fire alarm systems, utility closeout responsibilities, electrical panel configurations, and documentation requirements. Prospective bidders must complete and submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement before accessing Exhibit 1 (Revised), which contains exempt and confidential information protected under Florida Public Records Law. The agreement remains valid for one year. Submit the signed NDA to FDO-CID-Bids@PBC.GOV with "Non-Disclosure" plus the project number and name in the subject line.

All bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum One, Addendum Two, and any previously issued addenda by signature on the bid proposal form; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
