The procurement involves a comprehensive replacement of the current fire alarm infrastructure, with specific requirements including furnishing and installing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment. Contractors must ensure the new fire alarm system is integrated with the sprinkler system and undergo rigorous testing and inspection to verify all device and control function performance. The scope of work mandates system software updates, corrective maintenance for any deficient or inoperable devices, and a mandatory five-year full replacement warranty covering electrical issues, faulty wiring, dirty fire alarms, control panel defects, device failures, and programming errors. Bidders must comply with all State and Federal laws, maintain OSHA compliance, and be responsible for obtaining permits and removing debris. The bid submission deadline is March 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. local time, with interested contractors required to submit sealed bids to the City Clerks Office. While the procurement documents do not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, contractors must provide proof of a valid business license and demonstrate adequate insurance coverage before contract award. The opportunity is geographically situated in Talbot County, Georgia, and targets the City of Americus municipal infrastructure. Though no specific budget range is detailed in the provided documentation, the comprehensive nature of the fire alarm system replacement suggests a significant capital investment. Contractors must be prepared to provide a complete system replacement, including all necessary hardware, software, integration, and warranty services.
