About this opportunity

The City of Doral is soliciting bids for fire alarm monitoring, maintenance, inspection, and repairs at 16 city facilities under ITB 2026-18, with bids due July 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM and a mandatory pre-bid conference on June 18 at 9:00 AM. The awardee must hold State of Florida certification as a fire alarm contractor — the binding eligibility requirement.

The scope covers 24/7 monitoring and on-site maintenance, testing, inspections, and repairs for fire alarm systems across the Government Center, Police Department, Training Center, multiple parks, and the Cultural Arts Center. Equipment includes systems from Ditek, FCI, Fike, Fire Lite, Honeywell, Mircon, Notifier, Siemens, Silent Knight, Simplex Grinnell, and Wheelock. Response times are four hours for emergency calls and 48 hours for non-emergency calls, with assigned representatives available within 72 hours during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM). After-hours and weekend work requires advance authorization and is billed as overtime.

The initial contract term is three years with City options to renew for three additional one-year periods, not to exceed six years total. Pricing must remain fixed throughout the initial term; price adjustments upon renewal shall not exceed the Consumer Price Index-Urban or 3%, whichever is lower, unless otherwise approved by the City. Bidders may propose incentives and discounts.

The contractor must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in fire alarm services, preferably with Florida government entities. Required insurance includes $1,000,000 Commercial General Liability, $1,000,000 Business Automobile Liability, statutory Workers' Compensation, $3,000,000 Umbrella/Excess Liability, $2,000,000 Professional Liability, and $1,000,000 Cyber Liability, all naming the City as additional insured with primary and non-contributory language and waivers of subrogation. Bidders must submit performance evaluation surveys from a minimum of three current or former clients. Questions are due June 26 at 2:00 PM. Submissions are made via the OpenGov Procurement Portal.
