About this opportunity
The Nevada State Purchasing Division on behalf of the Department of Wildlife is soliciting proposals for female GPS solar ear tags—lightweight, solar-rechargeable tracking devices for continuous long-range wildlife monitoring—with proposals due October 22, 2026.
Nevada-based businesses may apply for a five percent preference on quotes if a majority of goods are produced in Nevada. Local businesses owned and operated by veterans with service-connected disabilities receive additional preferential consideration on contracts valued between $50,000 and $500,000.
All equipment must be new only; used, refurbished, demo, prototype, or gray market equipment is explicitly prohibited. Bidders must submit descriptive data and printed specifications. Brand names listed in the solicitation are for reference only, and alternative items are subject to state acceptance.
The contract term may not exceed two years, with potential annual extensions thereafter if conditions are specified in the bid solicitation and the Purchasing Division determines extension is in the state's best interest. Pricing for quoted items is irrevocable for the contract term and any extensions. The state generally pays within 30–45 days upon receipt of invoice and agency approval. All prices are FOB Destination with freight prepaid unless otherwise specified.
The state reserves the right to award contracts to the lowest responsible bidder after evaluating total cost of ownership, article quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and other relevant factors. Vendors must comply with OSHA standards and non-discrimination requirements under NRS Chapter 613. Vendors agree not to engage in boycotts of Israel as required by NRS 333.338. If the vendor delivers commodities directly to the state, automobile liability insurance with combined single limits of $1,000,000 is required.
Submissions are made through the NevadaEPro online procurement platform. All submission deadlines are in Pacific Standard Time with no quotes accepted after the specified closing time.
