About this opportunity
The Jordan School District (JSD) is seeking a professional employee insurance and benefit consultant/broker firm to manage its employee health and welfare benefit programs through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The primary objectives include reviewing current plan designs, identifying competitive options, and providing strategic recommendations for district-wide group health and welfare benefit plans. Qualified consultants/brokers must demonstrate expertise in evaluating and optimizing employee insurance strategies. The RFP was issued in accordance with the State of Utah Procurement Code (Utah Code Annotated Chapter 63G-6a) and requires comprehensive proposal submissions. The proposal deadline is September 17, 2025, with potential vendors expected to thoroughly review all attached documents, including standard terms and conditions, fee proposal forms, and various required attachments such as the boycott statement and confidentiality forms.
While the RFP does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements, vendors must comply with Utah state procurement regulations and complete all mandatory forms, including the Acknowledgement of Assurances and Claim of Business Confidentiality Form. The solicitation appears open to qualified insurance consulting firms with demonstrated experience in employee benefit program management. Although specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documents, the complexity of managing a school district's comprehensive health and welfare benefits suggests a potentially significant contract value. Prospective vendors should carefully review the full RFP attachment (6-26KP02P5 Employee Insurance and Benefits Consultant Services - Final) to understand the complete scope of requirements and evaluation criteria for this consulting services opportunity.
